This is where John, his father Daniel Fredrick and mother Louisa are buried.So, too are the young Bauers. There are several gravesites important in the John Tornow story, but none are as crucial as the Grove Cemetery on the Brady-Matlock Road. This site has been known by several names through the years: Johnson family cemetery, Radiske cemetery, and more recently Grove for the district where the Tornows lived on the Upper Satsop.This is where John, his father Daniel Fredrick and mother Louisa are buried.So, too are the young Bauers. Elmer, the game warden, slain in 1912; Charles Lathrop, slain by Tornow in 1913 at the final shootout; he is buried at Bristol, Vt. His family has provided gravesite photos, including one showing all four Lathrop great-grandsons; and Giles Quimby, the man who shot and killed Tornow.
